The Sustainable Community Strategy 2008-2020 contains five priority outcome areas. These are the key strategic priorities for the district.
Within our Local Strategic Partnership there are six delivery groups:
- Place
- Crime Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP)
- Housing
- Economy
- Children & Young Peoples Access to Services
- Older Peoples Access to Services
Why six rather than five?
It was decided that outcome 5 access to services, was too big an issue to try and get all the partners around one table. It was agreed that we would have two groups - Children and Young People and Older People.
Who sits on the delivery groups?
The delivery groups are made up of organisations who are delivering services in the Forest of Dean. They are a mixture of agencies from the public, private and voluntary/community sectors.
The delivery groups regularly review their membership to ensure that they have the right people around the table to ensure they can deliver our objectives.
What do they do?
Each delivery group puts together a two year action plan which the Board approves.
This process involves partners look at the statistical evidence related to our district (such as our health profile) as well as feedback from all sectors of the community. They then identify and develop projects which contribute towards better outcomes in the community.
Details of these projects can be found on the delivery group sections.
